REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Uganda National Association for Computer Users (UNACU) Professional Organisation
1. Introduction
Uganda National Association for Computer Users (UNACU) Professional Organisation is committed to providing high-quality services to its members, partners, and clients. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds and cancellations are permitted for membership fees, event registrations, training programs, donations, and other service payments.
2. General Policy
- All payments made to UNACU Professional Organisation are considered final unless stated otherwise in this policy.
- Refunds and cancellations must be requested within the specified timeframe to be eligible.
- Requests for refunds must be made in writing and submitted via email to support@unacu.org or through our official communication channels.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method. If this is not possible, an alternative refund method will be arranged.
3. Membership Fees
- Membership fees are non-refundable once payment has been processed.
- Membership cancellations do not entitle the member to a refund. However, a member can choose not to renew their membership for the following year.
- If a duplicate membership fee is paid, the member may request a refund or apply the excess amount toward future membership fees.
4. Event Registrations and Training Programs
- Cancellations made at least 7 days before the event/training date are eligible for a full refund or a transfer to a future session.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event/training date will receive a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made on or after the event/training date.
- If UNACU cancels an event or training session, participants will receive a full refund or have the option to attend a rescheduled session at no additional cost.
- Substitutions are allowed, meaning a participant can transfer their registration to another individual without penalty if done at least 3 days before the event.
5. Online Courses and Digital Products
- Fees paid for online courses and digital products are non-refundable once access has been granted.
- If a technical issue prevents access to a course or digital product, a refund or alternative access may be granted upon verification.
- Requests for refunds due to dissatisfaction must be submitted within 7 days of purchase, along with valid reasons and proof of issues encountered.
6. Donations and Sponsorships
- Donations and sponsorships made to UNACU Professional Organisation are non-refundable.
- If a donor makes a payment error (e.g., incorrect amount, duplicate transaction), they may request a correction by contacting our finance team within 7 days of the transaction.
- UNACU reserves the right to use donations at its discretion for organizational development and project funding.
7. Consultancy and IT Services Payments
- Payments made for consultancy, IT services, and project fees are non-refundable, unless specified in a service agreement.
- If a client is unsatisfied with a service, they must raise the issue in writing within 5 days of receiving the service for a possible resolution.
- Any refunds or service modifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
8. Refund Process
- Refund requests must be submitted via email to support@unacu.org with the following details:
- Full name and contact information of the requester
- Payment proof (receipt, transaction reference, etc.)
- Reason for the refund request
- Any supporting documentation (if applicable)
- Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless an alternative method is necessary.
9. Policy Amendments
UNACU Professional Organisation reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated through our official website and other communication channels.
